Tips and Tricks for Remodeling Your Master Bathroom
If you are remodeling your master bathroom, make sure the end result is exactly what you want by following a few simple tips.
Choose Tiles Wisely
Tiles are great for every surface in the bathroom because they are easy to clean. With so many textures and colors to choose from, picking the right tile for your bathroom can be tricky. Start by choosing your favorite tile design, and then decide if it will go on the floor, counter or shower. Find complementing styles for the other sections of the room, but avoid using more than three tile types.
Plan an Efficient Layout
Water lines, drains and other plumbing components should be factored into your layout. Consult with a local home improvement contractor to make sure your plans will work well.
Consider Your Lighting
Does the bathroom have windows? Will you install vanity lighting above the sink for make-up applications? Do you want a low-light setting for nighttime bathroom visits? Think about your lighting needs prior to installation and account for proper wiring while the plumbing is assembled.
Decide Tub and/or Shower Type
Depending on the size of your bathroom, it is possible to have the best of both worlds with a shower/tub combination. Some luxury tubs, however, cannot be combined with showers. Similarly, larger spa showers with multiple heads at different angles cannot accommodate a tub base.
From tiles to lighting to tubs and showers, there are many aspects to consider during the bathroom design process. You can always call HB Home Services for professional advice and installation.
